The NewTom VG3 has the least amount of radiation of any Cone-Beam Computed Tomography. CT- produced dental images are obtained with 1/3 less radiation exposure than a full mouth x-ray series.
The dose from a single-jaw dental CT scan is about the same as the dose a patient might receive walking to their car on a sunny Texas day.
